Loyola's Myles Bryant '16 and Coleman Shelton '13 honored at University of Washington team banquet
MYLES BRYANT '16 and COLEMAN SHELTON '13 were awarded the Tough Husky Award and Offensive Lineman of the Year Award, respectively, at the University of Washington's football banquet held this past weekend.
Bryant, Loyola's MVP and an All-Mission League and All-State Special Mention defensive back in 2015, had a huge year for the Huskies this fall as a starting corner. Shelton, who earned All-Serra League accolades as a Cub tackle in 2012, also had a banner campaign. Washington's starting center, Shelton was was a three-year starter who played every offensive line position in his career as a Husky. The NFL-bound lineman earned All-Academic Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors and is a Rimington Award Finalist.
Former Cub quarterback Sean O'Malley '17 sets record at Lafayette
SEAN O'MALLEY '17, who holds the Loyola record for most passing yardage in a career, set the Lafayette College record for most completions in a season as the Leopards' starting signal caller with 241. He is the first freshman to start at quarterback for Lafayette in 33 years. He is also second on the all-time list for attempted passes.
Fourteen Loyola graduates to play in Bowl games
Fourteen Loyola football graduates will participate in six college football Bowl games over the next month.
